What's Happening During the NHL 22 Halloween Rivals Event

The NHL 22 Halloween Rivals event lasts for one week. The seven days of the event come packed with activities. Players have events and sets to complete. They also have the Halloween Rivals collection to acquire. This Halloween-themed set includes 26 player items. Let's first look at the event activities. There are six Halloween Rivals event objectives. Each objective rewards players with one event collectible item. All event objectives can be completed while playing games in SB, HC, or Rivals modes. The first objective requires players to take part in 20 games. The second objective is completed when players win 10 games. The third objective challenges players to do 400 shots. The fourth objective has 100 goals. The fifth objective is achieved for 200 hits. The sixth objective requires players to play 30 rush matches. Should you complete all these six objectives, you get a Halloween Treat pack as a reward. This pack cannot be traded. We have 16 sets to complete for the Halloween Rivals event. The sets allow participants to get player items. The OVR of the reward cards ranges from 86 to 91. The Halloween Rivals reward cards represent players such as Sidney Crosby, Claude Giroux, Jesse Puljujarvi, Rasmus Anderson, Cale Makar, Quinn Hughes, Jordan Binnington, and Cam Talbot. To complete the sets players will need event collectibles obtained from objectives and other player items of various OVRs. The Halloween Rivals event has generated a mixed response from the NHL 22 player base. Some players are happy with the event, but others feel like the event is not too player-friendly. They think that one week is not enough for the event. They also believe that the requirements are too high and, as a result, the price of certain items has gone way up. Players also don't like that they cannot obtain packs for completing sets. The Halloween Rivals collection has cards with OVRs ranging from 80 to 91. The items represent the players that come as set rewards and also players such as Ryan Suter, Chris Kreider, and Sami Salo.
